15TH ANNUAL DANCE PROGRAMME OF BIKRAMSHILA, KOLKATA

Bikramshila – an institution for Gaudiya Nritya, presented it’s 15th Annual Dance Programme at Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre, Rangmanch, Salt Lake, Kolkata on 28th January 2024.  

Dr. Satabdi Acharyya, renowned dancer and founder, Bikramshila Dance Institution organised Gaudiya Nritya and other dance forms on its Annual Programme day at Kolkata.

CHIEF GUEST 

Renowned Creative dance performer, choreographer, director and actor Sri Kohinoor Sen Barat graced the function as Chief Guest.

SPECIAL GUESTS

Eminent personalities from the field of classical dances including shri. Souvik Chakraborty, Shri. Diptangshu Pal, Shri. Rajib Bhattacharya, Shri. Subikash Mukherjee, Madhumita Das Bhattacharya and Shri. Shib Narayan Banerjee attended the Annual Programme.

The renowned artist and the exponent of Indian Classical dance, Gaudiya Nritya, Dr. Mahua Mukherjee attended throughout the day and blessed young and talented artists. Smt. Banani Chakraborty, Pandit Amitabha Mukherjee, Sri Subhadip Chakraborty and Sri Babul Acharyya also graced the occasion with their presence. 

Students of Bikramshila performed Gaudiya Nritya with the following – (a) Ganesh Vandana  (b) Guru Ashtakam (c) Vandana Mangalacharan  (d) Swara Nrittanga  (e)  Alapchari based on Lord Balarama  (f)  Yogi Bhairav Stuti   (g)  Ambika Stuti

Narteshwara Vandana was performed by Dr. Satabdi Acharyya and Dasavatara by Sri Jayadeva. Yogi Bhairav Stuti and Guruashtakam was choreographed by Dr.Satabdi Acharyya. All programmes were originally  choreographed by Prof. Mahua Mukherjee and the group choreography was done by Dr. Satabdi Acharyya.
